I basically got tired of serving our fudge brownies for
lunch dessert. I asked our baker to come up with a blonde
version and here it is. It is very rich so we cut small
portions.
Ingredients:
2 Cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ cup butter (or margarine)
2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla (pure extract)
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups chopped heath bar
Instructions:
Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl
Combine flour, baking powder, ¼ teaspoon salt,
whisk these ingredients together to evenly distribute.
In a small saucepan or in a microwave safe mixing bowl
melt butter; remove from heat. With a spoon or whisk stir
in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; stir until combined. Stir
dry ingredients and walnuts into sugar mixture until just
combined, do not over mix.. Spread in greased pan and
cover top with heath bar. Bake in a 350degrees oven, 20
to 25 minutes.
Cut into bars while warm. Makes 48 small or 24 large.
