Macaroons

 

Ingredients:
8 oz. Egg Whites
1 tsp. Cream of Tartar
2 3/4 c. Granulated Sugar
1/8 tsp. Vanilla
4 c. Sweetened Coconut

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Whip the egg whites with the cream of tartar until they form soft peaks. Gradually whip in the sugar. Continue to whip until stiff and glossy. Fold in the coconut. Let stand for 15 minutes and then drop onto pregreased cookie sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
